Work, work, work...more over late work à la Japanese style....working 9-5 is a joke here! if you catch last sub home, then you´re lucky, if not it is just to find a free spot and sleep off the work or those drinks you managed to squeeze in just after leaving office.

Tokyo is amazing city, we are taking over 200 pictures every day and it is never enough. We spent the afternoon at the only beach in Tokyo, still on the island of Odaiba. Beautiful weather, the view of Rainbow Bridge, Fuji TV's futuristic and cool building and even the miniature of the Statue of Liberty...perfect ingredients for the afternoon walk!

Visiting Toyota's Pallete Town (huge show case entertainment center on the island Odaiba). I found myself a cute little Lexus while Ola and Igor focused on test drive simulators.

Is there a better way to recharge the shopping batteries than by having Korean barbeque for lunch!? Don't think so!!!

Shopping in Akihabara. It is New Years sales and it is crazy! There is this thing where you can buy bags and packages worth a certain sum, let's say 150000 yen, without knowing what is in there. For sure it is one or more gadgets to satisfy any nerd and it is definitely worth at least the double but we didn't dare :P

For our mum, the best mum in the world!!! Up is down! :)

The gates of the Imperial Palace are open twice a year on Dec. 23rd and Jan. 2nd. Today being the 2nd we went to see the Emperor and his family and cheer with thousands of mellow Japanese.

The first few days of the New Year the Japanese people are visiting their temples. The New Year celebration is more like Christmas celebration back home. It is all about family and good food! At Asakusa we visited the New Years's market next to the temple and experienced making of some strangely good tasting warm cookies and sea food specials.

New Year´s count down at the Zojoji temple!!! The first 3000 people who cue from the early afternoon get each a ballon and a wish to release at the 00.00. This and the light show on the Tokyo Tower in the background makes a pretty spetacular view!

We found the perfect restaurant by the Tokyo Tower for the New Year´s dinner! Buck wheat nudles and Japanese New Year´s pickles accompanied by a lot of sake and Japanese champagne (sake based bubbly drink!) were just few of the things that we tried out that evening!!! Cheeerios!!!

The last day of 2008 was spent overlooking the whole Tokyo, 250 m up in the Tokyo Tower!
